PRIVACY NOTICE

This notice explains how personal data is handled in connection with this website, in line with UK data protection law. It covers both my solo practice (KA Consulting) and DesignLABxKA, the collaboration between me, Kristen Augustus, and Laura Ann Bell, both reachable through this website.


Who we are

I am Kristen Augustus, trading as KA Consulting, based in the United Kingdom, and the data controller for personal data relating to my solo practice. For DesignLABxKA, Laura Ann Bell and I act as joint partners. You can reach me at augustuskristen@gmail.com, or DesignLABxKA at designlabxka@gmail.com.


What this site collects

This website does not collect personal data. It has no contact forms, uses no analytics, and sets no tracking cookies. The contact links open your own email program so you can write to us directly. The site itself does not capture or store any information about you.


When you email me (KA Consulting)

If you email augustuskristen@gmail.com, I receive the information you include—typically, your name, email address, and your message. I use this only to respond to your enquiry and, if we go on to work together, to carry out that work.


When you email DesignLABxKA

DesignLABxKA is a collaboration between me and Laura Ann Bell. If you email designlabxka@gmail.com, your message is received by both of us as joint partners, and we use it only to respond to your enquiry and to carry out any work you ask us to do.


Lawful basis

In both cases, the lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries directed to us, and, where relevant, performance of a contract. We do not sell your data, share it for marketing, or send marketing emails.


How long we keep it

We keep email correspondence only as long as needed to respond and to maintain a record of any working relationship, and delete it when it is no longer needed.


Hosting

This website is hosted by Gamma. As with any website host, Gamma may automatically process limited technical information (such as your IP address) for the purpose of serving and securing the site; this is handled under Gamma's own privacy practices.


Your data protection rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the following rights:

  • The right to access: you can ask for copies of the personal data held about you. This is provided free of charge.
  • The right to rectification: you can ask for inaccurate data to be corrected, or incomplete data to be completed.
  • The right to erasure: you can ask for your personal data to be deleted, in certain circumstances.
  • The right to restrict processing: you can ask that the use of your data be limited, in certain circumstances.
  • The right to object to processing: you can object to the use of your data, in certain circumstances.
  • The right to data portability: you can ask that the data you provided be transferred to you or another organisation, in certain circumstances.

To exercise any of these rights, email me at augustuskristen@gmail.com. There is no charge, and we will respond within one month.


Complaints

If you have a concern about how your data has been handled, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
